Sydney’s sassiest, silliest cabaret…

Smashing expectations one soaring harmony at a time, six women take on the western world’s greatest male musicians and reinvent them as surprising, soulful, sometimes-sexy cabaret. This is Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Nine Inch Nails, Leonard Cohen and Queen as you’ve never heard them before; masculinity mixed up with stellar female vocals and a little ridiculous dancing.

With backgrounds in varying musical styles, from opera and musical theatre to jazz, folk and pop, these musicians create surprising and playful renditions of masculine anthems, inviting the audience to discover new ideas in the lyric and think about how a song can change meaning when sung in a female voice.

After sell out runs in Sydney and Adelaide, Lady Sings it Better setting their sights on the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, where they will be performing at Gilded Balloon.
